Content Fatigue and New LPA
finalllllyyyyyy
Content, content, content, cooooontennnnnnnnt. I’ve never felt so inspired and uninspired in my life. Not to sound like an old fucking hag, but my god — I used to have to wait every month to buy my magazines to see the latest editorials. Now I open my phone and millions of people are posting them daily on multiple platforms. I have never felt overwhelmed by the internet before, but it’s absolutely starting to happen. So when it comes to shooting LPA, when I find myself getting overwhelmed, I just go to what I know and the girls that I adore.
I love Julia from the Millennial Decorator, and I’ve had her help me with shoots in the past. It’s always super helpful to have an extra person to bounce ideas off of, and of course she just has the best eye. So for this little mini drop of very “Italian” inspired clothes, I figured shooting them in a city that’s the opposite of Italy would be fun. I went to NY and had Julia shoot her muse, miss darling angel Paloma, uptown at her favorite little spots like Orsay and The Met. Carlo was with us for the first part of the shoot while Davide was in a meeting, which was just adorable. He kept showing off for the girls and flirting. It was so funny.

Paloma has two sisters. One is an angel like Carmela, and the other has dedicated her life to teaching angels how to “spell” (please listen to or reference The Telepathy Tapes). I was lucky enough to meet her on the set of the new Telepathy Tapes documentary. It makes me feel safe and seen to be around a girl like Paloma. Absolutely LOVELY and polite and so damn chic, while also understanding what it’s like to share a life with these special people. I really want to meet her mom, to be honest. Women who are older than me and are mothers of angels have a lot to teach me.
Anyway, here are a few of the beautiful pieces we worked really hard to create. These pieces required a very long lead time with very specific artwork and tech packs. I am so thankful to everyone who works on LPA for their talent and the fun we get to have making these garments. It’s been over 10 years and it still feels surreal.

This is the Isadora Midi Dress. It's a beautiful tan cotton dress with this unbelievable cherub embroidery that makes it a true piece of art. We worked really hard on this, especially because this type of embroidery requires very specific placement, so it's a lot harder to do than what meets the eye. Our team in the factory put so much work into her, and we're really proud and happy with the way it turned out. I truly think this is one of the most beautiful dresses we've ever made. Ohhh, and to make it even better, it comes with a matching head scarf that also has cherubs on it. So chic worn on its own or with the dress. This is my dreammmm of a two-for-one special.

The Rhea Mini Dress is my rendition of a perfect nightgown that's actually functional. Six years ago we released our first nightgown and lingerie collection, and it was my favorite because I'm such a nightgown girl. For years now I have been posting about how much I love wearing nightgowns, whether it’s during the day, to pick up and drop off the kids, to the beach… the list goes on. This is just one of those perfect mini dresses that's gorgeous and fabulous while still remaining nightgown-adjacent. You feel like just a cute little baby!!! In the most non-creepy way.

I have been wearing the Dorothy Maxi Dress obsessively for months. It has a little tank along with a double layer on top, so you can tie it off the shoulder or around your neck… user's choice!!! It has been my go-to dress lately. I wore it in New Orleans, out to dinner, walking along the streets all day. It truly is so beautiful.

Here we have the Ophelia Top and its matching skirt which isn’t out yet (more not that later). This two-piece has the same adorable embroidery, which was so important to us. The scallop detail makes me really realllllly happy and ties everything together. The skirt hasn't arrived yet, which we're pissed about!!!! This happens all the time with the factory. They were supposed to be released together, so obviously I was pissed. But instead of holding everything back, we decided to release the tank since so many of you have been asking about it. Once the skirt does arrive, just know she will be just as beautiful and gorgeous to wear on its own too.

This is the Rhea Top, made with beautiful lace detail along the sleeves and on the button pocket. It's an amazing light cotton top that's versatile all year round. And then of course we went ahead and added a really dramatic lace hood because drammmmmmaaaaa.

How stunning is our Leisl Midi Dress??? We designed it with a ruched top and a chic, heavy-weighted cotton skirt. I find the thick black straps and U-shaped cut to be sooooo flattering. I love the way it moves because you can tell the skirt is this elevated heavy fabric, perfect for everything from brunch to happy hour in the city. It will make you feel like the main character at all times.

Gorgeous!!
Pia!!!!🩷🩷🩷
